The award ceremony was held on March 7th at the Oakland Museum. Hosted by AdMark, the East Bay Advertising Club, the 2002 ADDY Awards received over 700 entries from firms located in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The winners are automatically entered in the American Advertising Federation (AAF) District 14 ADDY Awards. Those who win an ADDY Award at district move on to the national AAF ADDYs to be held in Miami, Florida on June 8, 2002.

Supported by clean design and bold red accents, the content-rich website is easy to navigate. Extensive information is provided for all four products that the company installs and services — home elevators, stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, and dumbwaiters — with a FAQ page devoted to each one. An Oakland design firm, Tommy Dew Design, developed the website and continues to work with ACME Home Elevator to keep the site fresh and current for visitors.
